Agreement
These terms and conditions apply to the purchase of a digital course subscription from My Norwegian Akademiet. The agreement consists of these terms and conditions, the information displayed during the ordering process, and any separate written agreements between the parties. Mandatory rights under Norwegian law always apply.
-
Seller
The seller is MY NORWEGIAN AKADEMIET MAGDALENA NESS, organisation number 829 240 742.
Address: Bru-Fjellveien 32, 1404 Siggerud, Norway
Email: info@mnakademiet.no
Telephone: +47 908 72 226
The customer is referred to below as “the customer” or “you”.
-
The Service
The subscription provides personal digital access to My Norwegian Akademiet’s interactive Norwegian course and the content included in the selected plan. The course may include lessons, grammar explanations, flashcards, audio, images, quizzes, sentence exercises, games, exams, and contact with a teacher.
Access requires an internet connection, an up-to-date web browser, and a personal user account. Contact with a teacher is included without a fixed limit throughout the paid subscription period. Response times may vary.
-
Price and Subscription
All prices are displayed in Norwegian kroner (NOK) before the order is completed. The following standard plans are available:
Monthly subscription: NOK 199 per month.
Quarterly subscription: NOK 499 every three months.
The subscription renews automatically at the same billing interval until it is cancelled. Before confirming the order, the customer is shown the total price, billing interval, and renewal terms. Any price changes will be communicated before they take effect and will apply no earlier than the next renewal.
-
Payment
Payment is made using the payment methods available at checkout, such as Vipps or a payment card processed by the connected payment provider. Payment is charged at the time of purchase and subsequently at the beginning of each new subscription period.
If a payment fails, access may be suspended or terminated. The customer is responsible for keeping their payment information up to date.
-
Delivery and Access
Digital access is normally activated as soon as payment has been confirmed and the customer has created or logged in to their user account. If access is not activated, the customer should contact info@mnakademiet.no.
Access is personal. Login details and course content may not be shared, resold, or made available to others. Serious misuse may result in the temporary suspension or termination of the account. If an account is suspended, the customer will receive an explanation and an opportunity to contact the seller.
-
Cancelling the Subscription
The subscription may be cancelled at any time through the customer’s account where this function is available, or by sending a clear notice to info@mnakademiet.no. The cancellation must be received before the next renewal date to avoid another charge.
Cancellation stops future renewals. The customer will normally retain access until the end of the subscription period that has already been paid for. No specific reason is required to cancel the subscription.
-
Right of Withdrawal
When purchasing online, a consumer generally has a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date on which the agreement was concluded. The customer may exercise this right by sending an unequivocal notice to info@mnakademiet.no or by using the standard withdrawal form included with the order confirmation.
If the customer expressly requests that delivery of the digital content begin before the withdrawal period expires and acknowledges that the right of withdrawal may consequently be lost, the provisions of the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act concerning digital content apply. Such consent and acknowledgement must be obtained explicitly before access is granted if the exception to the right of withdrawal is to be used.
-
Refunds
When the right of withdrawal is validly exercised, the payment received will be refunded without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the seller receives the notice. The refund will normally be made using the same payment method used for the purchase.
After the withdrawal period has expired, a subscription period that has already begun is normally non-refundable. This does not limit the customer’s statutory rights in the event of defects, significant service interruptions, or failure to provide the service.
-
Complaints and Service Interruptions
If the service does not conform to what was agreed, the customer should contact info@mnakademiet.no within a reasonable time and describe the problem. The seller must be given an opportunity to correct the issue. Depending on the circumstances, the customer may be entitled to correction, a price reduction, termination of the agreement, or a refund under applicable law.
Short service interruptions caused by necessary maintenance or circumstances beyond the seller’s reasonable control do not normally entitle the customer to compensation. In the event of a prolonged or significant service interruption, an appropriate solution will be considered for the affected period.
-
Course Content and Copyright
The course content belongs to My Norwegian Akademiet or is used with the necessary permission. The customer receives a limited, personal, and non-transferable right to use the content during the subscription period. Copying, recording, publishing, distributing, or commercially using the content is prohibited without written consent.
The course is a learning tool. Results will vary depending on factors such as effort, prior knowledge, and use of the materials.
-
Changes to the Service
The seller may update and improve the course content, features, and technical solution. Without an objective reason, changes must not significantly reduce the service for which the customer has already paid. Significant changes to the subscription or these terms and conditions will be clearly communicated before they take effect.
-
Personal Data
Personal data is processed to administer user accounts, payments, course access, customer support, and statutory obligations. Further information is provided in the website’s privacy policy. Payment information is processed by the selected payment provider.
-
Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Complaints should first be sent to info@mnakademiet.no. The parties will attempt to resolve the matter amicably. If the matter is not resolved, a consumer may request mediation from the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet). Disputes are governed by Norwegian law and may be heard by Norwegian courts.
