General Rules and Information

By registering for courses at My Norwegian Akademiet, students agree to the following terms:

1. Responsibility of Students: Students must remain aware of class schedules, including dates, days, times, and course duration. They must provide accurate personal information to ensure effective communication and promptly inform the reception or administration of any changes. Updated contact details are necessary for receiving course-related announcements and updates.

2. Communication Protocol: All requests and questions must be submitted via written email communication. Requests made via phone will not be considered valid. Inquiries regarding schedules or courses should be directed to reception or administration, not to teachers. All communication should remain professional and be conducted through official channels.

3. Course Modifications: Changes to course teachers or locations may occur under certain circumstances. Course registration is non-transferable. Guests are not permitted on school premises during course hours unless explicitly authorized in writing by My Norwegian Akademiet staff. Original materials provided by My Norwegian Akademiet are confidential and must not be shared externally.

4. Non-Discrimination Policy: My Norwegian Akademiet maintains a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. Violations will result in immediate removal from the school and may lead to further legal action.

5. Certification: Students who attend at least 80% of the course sessions are eligible to receive a course certificate upon written request to info@mnakademiet.no. Certificates may be withheld if payment is incomplete.

6. Course Duration and Scheduling: Courses are conducted exclusively in Norwegian. A standard lesson lasts 60 minutes, whether in group or private settings. Students must bring all necessary materials to each lesson. Teachers will adhere to the course curriculum. Additional materials or exercises may be requested online, without disrupting the class.

7. Errors and Updates: My Norwegian Akademiet reserves the right to correct errors or omissions on the website without prior notice.

8. Punctuality: Students must arrive on time. Repeated lateness (more than 10 minutes) may result in an official warning. Questions about class content or materials should be addressed during class or as directed by the teacher.

9. Minimum Enrollment and Course Changes: A minimum number of participants is required to commence a course. My Norwegian Akademiet reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses with insufficient enrollment and to adjust start dates, times, and instructors as needed. Students will be offered alternative options or schedules.

Postponement and Rescheduling Policy

1. Postponement: Students may request to postpone their course for a processing fee of 1800 NOK, subject to space availability. Requests must be submitted in writing to info@mnakademiet.no and approved by administration. Postponement requests must be made at least 14 days before the course start date to avoid additional fees.

2. Schedule Changes: Changes to the course schedule are permitted with administration approval. Requests made less than 14 days before the course start date will incur a fee of 1800 NOK. All requests must be submitted via email.

Payment Regulations

1. Payment Deadline: All course payments must be received one week before the course start date. Payments can be made via bank card on the website or through invoices. Discounts applied at registration are non-refundable and cannot be transferred or retroactively applied.

2. Group Discounts: Discounts are available for groups of four or more. Exclusive discounts for individuals cannot be shared or extended to third parties.

Cancellation Policy

1. Full Refunds: Cancellations submitted in writing at least 14 days before the course start date are eligible for a full refund. Failure to attend or participate does not exempt students from payment obligations.

2. Partial Refunds: In cases of debilitating health or unforeseen circumstances, students must provide documentation for reimbursement consideration. A 20% cancellation fee applies for courses or packages not attended. Refunds are based on original prices, not discounted offers.

3. Force Majeure: In cases of force majeure, students may freeze or postpone their course with no additional fees or switch to an online format. Private lessons must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges. Late cancellations or no-shows will forfeit the session without a right to reschedule or refund.
